Dear father of Amy and Dave Boersma of Exeter, and Michelle Zwart and Shawn Yearley of Ailsa Craig. Proud grandfather of Jared, Tyler, Drew and Kelsey; and Sofia and Severide. Dear brother of Hiske Zwart and brother-in-law of Klaas Van Wieren (Rita), William Van Wieren, Richard Fennema (the late Bertha), and Jannie Van Wieren (the late Herman). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Holland.

Pete’s funeral service will be held at the Exeter Christian Reformed Church, 330 Huron Street West, Exeter on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11AM. For those unable to attend the service, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your home. Sincere condolences with the passing of Pete. My memories of Pate ( as we knew him ) go back many years to the time he boarded with my family. As children we loved him and considered him family. He had this set up in his bedroom so that he could make recordings on records. He made a record of my sister, brothers and I and our parents that we could send to our grandparents in Holland.
After he moved away from Brighton he visited a few times and then we lost touch.
A number of years ago, my husband and I attended a wedding in Exeter and Pate was there as well. It was great to see him and catch up on our lives.
