Our hearts are broken for our beautiful son, brother, family member and friend. It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Joshua Frank Zupancic, on May 28, 2021, at the age of 32.
Those who knew Josh, even a little, knew his goofy sense of humour, his curiosity to learn new things, his intelligence, and his ability to retain and explain information was beyond anything our family had seen before. At family gatherings, he was always up for a discussion on the latest news and always wanted to open people’s minds up to different opinions and ideas.
Deeply loved and missed everyday by his mother, Beverly Zupancic, and his father, Frank Zupancic. Proud big brother of Jake Zupancic, Jill Zupancic and her fiancé Michael Minogue, and Jenny Zupancic. Adored grandson of Margret Zupancic, Frank Zupancic and his wife Christine Zupancic, Gary Philip, and Patricia Philip. Josh will be missed by his many aunts Tara Zupancic, Melissa Zupancic, Sabina Robb, Heidi Zupancic, Sandy Philip, Jennifer Philip, and uncles, Rob MacLean, Richard Faris, David Robb, Gary Philip, Merlin Malinowski, and his cousins, Maya, Audrey, Ethan, Owen, India, Matthew, April, Alexandra, Jonathan, Taylor, Matthew.
We love you and miss you already, Josh.
A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 3rd at 11 AM. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your own home. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Salvation Army, Centre of Hope that really helped bring some light into Joshua’s life.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

My heart is sad with hearing of this news. I will never forget Josh’s spunk and zest for life. That boy was walking before 10 months old and never looked back.
He made us smile and shake our heads all in the same moment.
We have lost touch with Josh for many years but we have talked about him when memories of him and Justin growing up together in the younger years.

Im just now finding out about Josh’s passing. We were best friends from birth but had grown apart in recent years when I left London and moved up to Muskoka, only keeping in touch online every once n awhile.

Today we remember our nephew Joshua.
Franzi and Bev not having experienced that kind of hardship ever we can not even begin to imagine your loss. The only thing we can do is mourn and share your grief with sympathy and sadness in our hearts.
What remembering Josh means to us is recalling some brief anecdotes of the moments we shared with him.
One time that stuck with me (Mike) was when you visited our place in Rockwood. Josh was about two. I put him on a horse to lead him around a bit. I sat him facing backwards (on purpose) and before I could walk him around he knew something was wrong . He looked me straight in the eye, looked at the horses tail and back to me. He could talk very little so he kept on looking at me as if to say OK dumb*** it’s time to turn me around. When I finally did he had the greatest smile. Like he was saying I knew you would see it my way.
Due to the distances we lived from one another we did not see you very much and loss some of his early years.
The last time I saw Josh three years ago at your house I had a great conversation about Opa with him. He could not hear enough and I was happy to share info with him. He surprised me with his knowledge of World War 2. We touched on many of the topics and I found myself struggling to keep up with him. I will remember that time forever.
Thank you Josh for being in our lives. We are sad that we were not able to help you. We shall not forget you.
