Harry and Rita were close family friends with mom and dad, who would share many of life’s experiences from the old country. There were many days when Harry would make a visit to the farm about a piece of equipment, and spend all of his time visiting and drinking coffee with them even staying sometimes for lunch, then a Schnapps at Christmas time. Later in years, he still would come for eggs and continue to check out the inventory of equipment in the shed..
Cheryl says “Like a John Deere, his friendship was priceless”.
    Rest In Peace Harry….
Mom will have the coffee ready …..

    Riet and family,

We are sorry for your loss. My wife still talks about how Riet and Harry came to see us after her father died. And I’ve told my son many stories about Harry, the calves, the farm and the pigeons. Some of those stories might even be true. To me, Harry, along with Herb, Jack and Earl, felt more like uncles than my Dad’s business partners. So we will miss Harry dearly, and join you in your grief. May God bless you and comfort you.

To the Winter family; In the late 1960’s when we were struggling to run our dealership Deere people advised me to look to other dealers for mentoring and Exeter was one mentioned. Soon we were learning from Harry and the rest of the Huron Tractor partners. They were very good to us and instrumental in the success our dealership! This relationship carries on to this day. I cant forget Harry Winters.

    November 21, 2019 at 10:48 AM

Sending the Deepest of Sympathies to the entire Winters family, on the passing of your husband and patriarch.
Harry was a kind and gentle soul, beloved by his ‘Huron Tractor’ family, as well. Jerry fondly remembers the oranges from Florida and the Ollie bolen that Harry brought in for the guys at work, when he came to visit them. It really IS the little things that matter and Harry knew that.
When we moved 2 years ago, he was quite concerned that we be extra cautious of the #83 highway traffic , when exiting the drive. Bless his heart. We are sure that there’s a special place in Heaven for such a caring man. May your memories sustain and comfort you all.

    Jerry & Linda
