At Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 of RR 1 Arva in his 91st year. Beloved son of the late Thomas and Fanny McGuffin. Predeceased by his sister Hazel and his brothers Ivan, Wilmer and Arnold McGuffin. Harold farmed in West Nissouri Township his whole life and was a very gifted horseman.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 11 AM with Rev. Tracy Crick-Butler officiating. Interment Siloam Cemetery, London.

I wanted to pass on my condolences to all of the McGuffin clan, as I will be unable to attend Harold’s funeral on Saturday. He was always such a kind, funny and warmhearted person. Harold was a wonderful neighbor to have and we feel privledged to have know him. He was always cheerful and inviting. Everytime we would drop in for a vist he was warm and welcoming..and of course conversation would some how end up being about his horses..which we loved. He and his gentle nature will be forever missed.. that warm smile and the twinkle in his eye. God Bless him and his family..We feel we were lucky to have spent the time we did with him. He will be missed !

Richard and the children and I have wonderfully fond memories of the times Harold took the Zion Sunday School and all the parents on some wonderful horse drawn sleigh rides. What a kind man! I have known Harold since we moved to Zion in 1934. He and Eldon Perkin and my brother Max made a triip together to Alberta and B.C. in 1949 by car. I moved to Alberta in 1950 and during the last 5 or 6 years when I visited Ontario Harold, Lorne Ardiel and I had lunch together. I am so glad that he reached such a good age of 90. Harold was an inspiration to me and to many others.
