VERMET: Roger of Parkview Pines, Grand Bend

June 28, 2019 By Haskett Funeral Homes 30 Condolences

VERMET: Roger of Parkview Pines, Grand Bend

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia Lambton, with his family and friends by his side on Friday, June 28, 2019 of Pineview Park, Grand Bend at the age of 67. Dear brother of Linda (Vermet) Martin of Chatham. Special uncle of Christine and Brandon Depencier, and Michelle and Joe Bickford. Roger will be missed by his great nieces, Kylee Wilkinson, and Celeste Adrian. Predeceased by his parents Irma and Marcel Vermet.

Roger’s well rounded, fun spirit, and jokes will be missed at many social events with his dear family and friends. He brought the life to the party, with his easy going personality and his sense of humour. His love of classic cars, motorcycles, drag car racing and trips to the boat races will be remembered forever, by his wide spread group of friends.

A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at a later late. In the meantime, have a Labatt Blue for Roger, and think of all the good times had, and memories made. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220).

Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia Lambton would be appreciated by the family.

Offer Condolence for the family of VERMET: Roger of Parkview Pines, Grand Bend

Prayers and thoughts to Roger’s family. Never a dull moment when he was our neighbour on William St Exeter. I was doing dishes one day and heard this squeal and Roger had taken Emily’s training wheels off her bike and he had her riding without them. I remember the time I found unsuitable vhs movies under Scott’s bed and he told me Roger leant them to him. I took the movies and put them under my front wheels of my car and proceeded to start to back over them. Well Roger was out the back door faster than lightning. Yelling “ my titties my titties “. ????. Oh the stories and memories are great that our family have of him. Watch over us Roger !

I will always remember Roger’s grin and sense of humour. I might not have seen him all that often since the Finnegans days but when we did run into each other it always seemed as if it was yesterday. Keep ‘en laughing in heaven Roger.
