VANDERLOO: John of London and formerly of Lucan

Peacefully, at Meadow Park Nursing Home, London on Monday, February 25, 2013 of London and formerly of Lucan in his 90th year.  Beloved husband of Dorothy VanderLoo of London.  Dear father of Martin and Ellen VanderLoo of Clinton, Carin and George Marr of Lucan, Mary and Mike Donnelly-VanderLoo of Thorndale, Louise and Kevin Keck of Komoka and Janet VanderLoo of London.  Dear step-father of Lloyd Lowe and Vera Leclair of London.  Fondly remembered by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Survived by several brothers and sisters in The Netherlands.  Predeceased by his wife Corry (Duynisveld) VanderLoo (1993) and his son John (1978).

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Thursday, February 28th at 11 AM with Father Dariusz Lewandowski celebrant.  Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan.

Parish prayers will be said in the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 PM.  There will be a Knights of Columbus service in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8 PM.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

    We are deeply sorry to hear about uncle John passing away.
    Our deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your husband, your father and grandfather.
    Uncle John will be missed very much and even though 89 is a wonderful age, it is always hard losing someone you love.
    What remains are memories, lots of beautiful memories.
    I’m glad that I could visit uncle John a few years ago with my mother for the last time, I’m sure he leaves behind
    a great close family.
    We wish you all the strength you need now to go through this hard time and hope that all the beautiful memories can support you.

    From all the messages already sent I can see what a fine man your father, grandfather, and great grandfather was. I know this also because of the fine Vanderloo family that I know personally.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
