My deepest sympathy to you Brieanna ,Gavin and Family. It saddens me deeply to hear of her passing.
Karen and I had tea every Tuesday and she would always bring out her lovely china when I came. She was a very intelligent woman and I admired her. She talked so proudly of her children, family and career.
I admired her strength, she was a beautiful person and I will miss our Tuesday morning teas together.
My deepest sympathy again to all the family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers!!

To Gavin, Brieanna, and family: I am still in shock over the loss of my dear, long-time friend. I was one of her guests at a gourmet meal at her home New Year’s Day. My thoughts are with you as you carry out all the responsibilities suddenly thrust upon your young shoulders, while grieving for your beloved mother. My one consolation is that Karen is in heaven – no more fears, no more tears. I pray God’s comfort for all of you. Yvonne Reynolds

Sincere sympathy and condolences to Karen’s numerous family and friends. As a former research colleague, it was most unfortunate to see her great potential for scientific discovery drained away by illness. In that previous time when her academic candle burned so intensely however, Karen provided a lasting legacy of strong intelligent scholarship for others to build upon.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I was fortunate to have had Karen as a good friend and academic colleague for many years, beginning when we were both young researchers and I have many good memories of those times with her. She made an impact on our field with her publications and hard work.
My sincere condolences to all of you.
Gavin:
Sorry to hear about the loss of your mom.
Thoughts are with you.
