Peacefully at the Exeter Villa, with family by her side on Thursday, August 13, 2015, of Exeter, and formerly of Hensall, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Peter Toornstra for over 62 years. Dear mother of Elsie and Gerald Willis of Hensall, Clarence and Betty Toornstra, and Sam and Shelly Toornstra all of Exeter. Dear grandmother of Carisa and Brian, Michelle and Pat, Steven and Veronique; Ben and Lea, Leanna and Ben, Zach; Ashley and Tyler and Lucas. Dear great-grandmother of Kinsley, Cory, Erica, Kate, Lauryn, Ryan, Brayden, and Kailyn. Dear sister of Auke and Alie Talma of Brampton. Remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Sijtze and Elske Talma, sisters Tina Kingma and Sandra VanderLinde, and brothers John, Clarence, and Sam Talma.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main), on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 17 at 11 AM with Mary Jane Bisset officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital, the Exeter Villa, the Caven Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
