It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Thomas Charles Bowen in his 60th year on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. Beloved husband and best friend of Joanne. Incredible dad and fishing buddy of Jeff and Leah. Loving, and of course, spoiling grandpa to his “girlie girls” Grace and Emily Bowen and treasured “special son” of Edith Brintnell. Tom is also survived by his two brothers and their families: Kevin and Jacqueline of Kemptville and Keith and Bonnie and nephews Matthew and Steven of New Hamburg. He will be forever remembered as a dear brother-in-law to Diane and the late Chuck Vallee and the late Susan Burns. Adored “Uncle Tommy” of Curt and Karen, Cori and Shelly and a “great” great uncle to Kaitlyn, Avery and Brendan all of Windsor. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Betty Bowen and his in-laws Ken and Grace Cole. Tom touched many hearts both at home in Exeter and at his beloved cabin retreat on the Bruce, he will be missed. Tom was a retired Diagnostic Imaging Technologist having worked at South Huron Hospital for twenty-five years.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Wednesday, September 14th from 9:30-10:30 AM where a celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating. Cremation with inurnment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation gratefully appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. I have many memories of the diagnostic imaging dept. at SHH through Bill’s eyes and I expect Bill and Tom are together now reminicing old times.
