Dear Lorraine, Karen, Russell & families: We were so saddened to hear of Dorothy’s passing, but how blessed for everyone to have her live for almost 97 years. Dorothy and Ernie were great friends of Dad & Mom (|Bud & Ruth Talbot). When I told Mom of her passing she said what a wonderful person Dorothy was and they had many great visits over the years. She mentioned what a hard worker Dorothy was and also a great cook. She said they shared many wonderful meals over at Dorothy and Ernie’s. Dorothy would prepare supper, go out to the barn and help, come in and still serve up the most delicious supper.. She has wonderful memories with them. Mark mentioned what good chats he had with Dorothy when she would come up shopping at Food Basics. All special memories to cherish. We will be keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.
With sympathy, Ruth Talbot, Mark and Brenda (Talbot) McLean

Dorothy was an amazing woman. She gave of herself daily.
I remember visiting her and Ernie at the farm. My Dad (Arnold) had a bad habit of deciding to visit people late in the evening. I remember pulling into their driveway at dark and falling asleep on the couch in the kitchen while we waited for Dad and Ernie to finish their bottle of Rye (they had thrown the cap away).
Dorothy and my Mom seemed to tolerate this … Dorothy preparing midnight lunches around the big kitchen table.
I am glad you were with her in the end.
