December 1, 2019 By Haskett Funeral Homes 73 Condolences

SUTHERLAND: Brian of Woodham

Peacefully in Woodham, on Friday, November 29, 2019, at the age of 55. Dear son of the late Peter Hartley Sutherland (2008) and Sharon (Ed) Northrup of Grand Bend. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Peter Sutherland of Woodham, Mike (Jane) Sutherland of Angus, Jeff (Mary Ann) Sutherland of Hensall, and Mark (Margaret) Sutherland of Mt. Carmel. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister-in-law Lisa (Hyde) Sutherland.

Brian took great pleasure in riding his motorcycle and driving McCann’s Redi Mix truck for over 7 years.

A graveside service will be held at the Exeter Cemetery Columbarium’s on Thursday, December 5th at 3:30 PM. Following the graveside, all are invited to the downstairs of the Exeter Legion, 316 William Street, Exeter, for a drink in Brian’s honour.

Donations to Jessica’s House or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

My deepest, heart felt sympathies to all the Sutherland family. I was so blessed to grow up beside Pete, Brian and the rest of the boys. I have had some fond memories of taking Brian’s cowboy hat on him and wearing it for days before giving it back…It was like a game…We would see each other, he would grin, then I would take his hat off his head and put it on my own. He was so patient and never gave me a hard time about it. Well he knew he would always get it back in a few days. He will be missed. I will keep you all in my thoughts and my prayers. God Bless.
