Uncle Greg, Aunt Ruth, Laura and Mark,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. Keeping you in our thoughts. Lots of love, Paula and Joel Brodie xoxoxox
I will remember Marie as a strong, independent woman; powerful in her quiet, understated way.
I was lucky to know her for almost 40 years, because she was the Mother of Jill; one of my very best friends.
It was always a pleasure to spend time wit her. She was the ultimate modern woman well before her time.
She will be missed.

Marie’s legacy is remembered by the Huron Shores United Church for her considerable strength and wisdom. Her initiation of the formal path for the congregation to become officially affirming (accepting everyone of all sexual orientations) is an outstanding contribution as a welcoming Christian.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are touched by this wonderful person.
God’s strength be yours

Jill,Sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing
My sympathy to you all, especially Jan, Pat, Jennie and Jill. Marie was a lovely person and a remarkable woman who lived fully through changing times. As you know, my memories of her and your family extend from our school days in the 1950s in Hyde Park through to the present. Hers was a life well-lived and a model for us all. I hope that your own memories will give you strength in coming days. Sincerely … Judy Colbert
Greg, Ruth and Family;
Thinking of you at this sad time.
There will be many great memories to cherish.
So sorry for your loss, she was a wonderful lady. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
So sorry to learn of Marie’s death. She was a wonderful woman. I had the pleasure of getting to know her at Huron Shores United Church, where we were on the Affirm Team (welcoming LGBTQ to our church) and the Right Relations Team (seeking ways to implement the Truth & Reconciliation report). In both groups, she was inspirational, and I was grateful she shared her wisdom. We will miss her.

My sincerest sympathies to the entire family. Many fond memories of Marie – mother of some of my friends, singing in the church choir together, and seeing her over the last few years at the AGM for the cemetery in Hyde Park. She’ll be missed by many.
Greg, Ruth and family. Sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Our deepest sympathy.
Please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of Marie. She was such a dear friend of our Mother Evelyn Johnson. We heard many stories of their time together. Keep those special memories of family times close to your heart.
I have many fond memories of Marie, also her lovely voice in the Hyde Park church choir.
Recently I have been impressed by her short principled letters to the U.C. Observer.
Our mother Elizabeth will be sad to hear that Marie is gone. She appreciated the newspaper article on Marie.
All sympathy and best wishes Jan, Pat, Jennie, Jill, Greg, and Dave.

Sincere sympathies to Greg, Ruth, and all of the family.
Greg, Ruth, Laura, Mark and all Strapp family members.
We are thinking of you during these difficult times. Losing a mother/grandmother is always an emotional time, but remember a mother’s hug lasts long after she let’s go. May you find comfort as you share your memories.
Greg, Ruth, Laura, Mark and family, so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Our deepest sympathy at his very sad time.
sorry to hear of your loss, marie was our neighbour for a number of years and we enjoyed her,she will be sadly missed.
I have such lovely memories of aunt Marie when she and my mom would visit Peter and me at Salt Creek Farm. Recently, I received a kind note from her wishing me well. She dearly cared about all of us.
Rest In Peace dear lady.
I have many memories of Marie from my ‘growing up days’ in Hyde Park. She was a role model before we knew what a role model was-especially for the females in our community. A lovely lady and condolences to all the family.
I am sorry to hear of your Mom’s death. I remember her with great fondness. There was lots of back and forth between our two families when we were kids and your Mom was always welcoming of us neighbor kids who showed up your home. It must have been bedlam at times but she seemed to take it in her stride.
It was lovely to see her at my Mom’s visitation last spring.
Jan, Pat, Jennie, Jill, Greg and David – please accept my condolences.
