Our deepest Sympathy to the family of Steve….Dennis, Rosemary and his sons….also to Ange Pestell, Wade & Jared Pestell

Steve became part of our lives through Ange. We had heard a bit about this funny, great guy through Heather and Rob…his camping buddies and co-workers. We so enjoyed our time spent with Steve…and enjoyed his wry humour. His quiet reserved manner was also an asset. He made our daughter laugh again and made her happy along with her two sons. You are going to be missed deeply by our family Steve. ♥

I was deeply saddened to learn of Steve&&single&&s passing. I only got to know him briefly this past fall during negotiations for the Parmalat Local 462 collective agreement.

I genuinely liked Steve from the moment I met him and I truly enjoyed working with him.

He had a uniquely dry sense of humour that was always delivered in timely circumstances when the pressure was mounting and I know he had the respect of not only his Union family on our side of the table but also his peers on the other side.

His passion for the Maple Leafs and mine for the Boston Bruins often ended in some interesting and colourful exchanges rooted in good humour.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to his family and all his friends.

    Go Leafs Go!

I would like to send my condolences to Steves family. I had the pleasure of working with STEVE when he worked for a brief time here in BC cutting lawns for the school board with Pat Moylan. We all had a good time drinking beer with him and socializing. He will be missed. RIP

For starters I would like to give my condolences to steves family. My first experience meeting Steve was in his stint living in BC when he came to work mowing lawns for the Abbotsford school board with pat Moylan ,Steve always had a way to make you laugh with his funny antics especially when a few beers where involved lol I really enjoyed hanging out with him socially and at work. I will not forget him. He always had a way to make you laugh. I will miss him and regret not keeping in touch. God bless him
