Peacefully at the Exeter Villa on Thursday, February 15, 2024 of Exeter and formerly of RR 1 Dashwood in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Antonie ‘Toon’ Soer (2006). Dear mother of Hans Soer of Uden, The Netherlands, Ruby and Jim Van Nes of Stratford, Gerrit and Dianne (Boersma) Soer of Dashwood, Janny and Adrian Dimmers of Mossley, Tony and Patti (Desjardine) Soer of Grand Bend, John and Patty (Dunnell) Soer of Ilderton, and son-in-law Frans Bisschop of Aalst, The Netherlands.
Loving Oma to Joke and Pleun Bisschop; Ryan, Sarah, Sean, Amy, Jacob and Tony Van Nes; Janet, Garret, Julia and Jacqueline Dimmers; Johanna and Lindsay Soer: and Nathan, Adam, Josh, and Matthew Soer. Great-Oma to Erica, Johan; Hailey, Logan, Elly, Katelyn; Gabriel, Cal, Lance, and Robyn.
Predeceased by daughters Joke Soer (1978) and Corrie Bisschop (2021), great-granddaughter Corrina (2005), sister Roelie Van Oort (2011), and brother Rien van Loon (1999).
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Sunday, February 18th from 2 – 4 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19th at 11 AM with Pastor Kevin teBrake officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.

It was wonderful to be able to nurse and care for your mom and grandmother at the Villa while I worked there . We would sing in Dutch at bedtime each evening the Dutch children’s prayer together. She loved it! …… With a big smile on her face . She let me use my limited Dutch language with her as we bonded together in love . May God comfort you with His Presence , Love and Peace.

Gerrit & Dianne and the entire Soer family
So very sorry for your loss. Although it has been several years, I always enjoyed your mom’s visit to the dealership. Occasionally she would bring us some apples – I think to sweeten us up! She was a wonderful lady and will be missed. Hold tight to the many memories of a life well lived.
