Survived by his much loved wife Barbara Ann (McNamara) just 2 weeks before their 70th wedding anniversary.  Father to Doug and Doris Snoddy of Waterloo and their son Tim; Clayton and Jane Hefley of Exeter and their children Katie and Adam George, Kellen Hefley and Kathryn McKendrick, and Kristen and Tim Campbell; Dave Snoddy of London and his children Lauren Bannister and Chris Wood, Harrison Bannister, Carson Bannister; Jordan Snoddy, and Janelle Osler. “Old Grandpa” to Sutton George, Jack, Macie, Charlotte Campbell, and Emma and Hailey Wood. Predeceased by his son and daughter-in-law Brian (2003) and Bernadette (2012) Snoddy and daughter-in-law Lora Bannister (2003). Predeceased by his parents John (Joe) and Isabelle (Harrison) Snoddy and was the last surviving member of his family.  He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Hal loved golfing, curling, and baseball and enjoyed many lifelong friendships from these activities.  Dad and Mom traveled as much as they could and enjoyed so many adventures together.  Thank you to the nurses at South Huron Hospital for their kindest care. We are grateful.

Cremation has taken place and a small private family service will be held at a later date. Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements.

To Barbara and your Family. Our deep condolences 💐 on the passing of your dear Husband Harold. We knew Harold when he was in ST. Marys visiting his parents Isabel and Joe Snoddy. My Mother Myrtle Brine and Myself Nancy (Brine) Bickell were very good friends of your Mother Isabel. She lived right across the road from us. After her passing we kept in touch with Barbara and Harold for many years and used to always see them at the Homecomings here in St. Marys. He was a lovely man and I am sure he had a wonderful family. What a great life he lived and to an amazing age. If someone from the family can relate this message to Barbara or the children that would be great. All the Best Nancy(Brine) Bickell –

    Dear Barb and family
I met Hal while I was teaching the exercise class at the church beside your home. Hal was a very dedicated participant and always liked to chat and joke with me.
When I retired and worked at the grocery store he always made a point of stopping and chatting with me. I remember one day when he was checking out the avocados I asked him jokingly what he was getting them for. He said he was making guacamole and then proceeded to tell me his recipe. Hal said he made it for Barb and him for their snack. What a guy. I have such fond memories of him and he never seemed to age.
May you cherish your memories of Hal.
