Peacefully at Mitchell Nursing home on Saturday, May 2, 2020 of Kirkton at the age of 81. Cherished companion of Betty (Wilson) Hockey for over 31 years. Much loved step-father of Jeff and Shellie Hockey, Jan and the late Doug Cooper, and Danny and Suzan Hockey. Proud step-grandfather of Mike and Brittney, Curtis and Krista, Kaylin; Amber, Carson; Luke and Jessica, Adam and Tinisha, Jayda, Denver, Sadie, and Dayton and great-grandfather of Jaxon, Owen, Chloe, Steven, Isabella, Oliver, and Aiden. Loving brother of Jean Ross. Dear uncle of Tim and Ellen, Dan and Teresa, and Tracy and Jamie. Predeceased by his brother Mervin Shute and sister Marion Barr.
A private family funeral service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter on Saturday, May 9th at 1 PM. Interment Kirkton Union Cemetery. My condolences to all. Enjoyed many chats with Ed at the elevator and
some fishing trips with him and Bob along with coon hunting all hours of
the night years ago. He’ll be missed.
