What a loss of a great man. When you had the store the kids would run to Alan’s office to to see Alan and his Guinea pigs. If I was out walking the dog he would pull over reach in his pocket and pull out a dog bone for the dog. He was a man that always had a smile or wave or stop and day hi to everyone. A true gentleman. He will be missed.
To the entire Scott family, our sincerest condolences. Alan was a fine gentleman with a heart of gold. He will be sadly missed and fondly rememberd by many.

My condolences to you all on the loss of our beloved Alan, he truly was one of the kind, I adored cutting his and Liz’s hair over of the years, his stories and his laugh was infectious.
My favourite memory was when he brought his hamster(?) in his jacket to pick Liz up for her hair appointment and boy was she mad and he just laughed away with no care in the world. He was a sucker for a good joke, Liz not so much haha they were perfect together and now they are together again free of pain.
Sending my love and condolences

Mark, Ann & the Scott Families,
Our sincere sympathy in the passing of your beloved father Alan. Cherish all the special memories made (and there are so many). He is resting with his beloved wife Liz peacefully by her side. Fond memories of Alan and Liz in Lucan; Florida alongside Mark & Ann; BBQ’s at your home as well as your wedding celebration. Our hearts go out to you and your families during this difficult time. “Those we love never go away…they walk beside us each and everyday.”
Dear Ann & Mark, Brent and Laura
When we moved to the Lucan area in November 1995, Alan (& Mark) were very welcoming to us. Through the years and the various soil sampling projects and crop consulting discussions my visits to William Street often included a seat in Alan’s office and some type of “philosophical” discussion. The picture of the ad for Case IH in Alan’s office certainly summed up his love of red equipment and agriculture. I know Alan is proud of the fact that Brent has become a part of the farming operation and will carry on the tradition of friendly customer service in the ever-changing world of agriculture in Lucan-Biddulph.
Your family has many, many great memories of Alan & Liz and the impact that there lives had on so many people. I pray that you all find peace in the funeral service on Monday.
To the whole Scott family, please accept my deepest condolences.

With the passing of Alan we have lost a corner stone of Lucan. A man who looked out for the community ploughing snow out of lane ways or leveling dirt for someone. l miss going into the store and Alan would wave you into his office to chat and find out what you were doing. He was a true gentleman.
Alan and Liz were such a joy to know ‘! They proudly raised two wonderful sons Michael and Mark.
I remember well how Mr.and Mrs. Santa Claus visited us in the country to my Children’s excited delight . Those photos are a treasure !

We were so sorry to hear of Alan’s passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Alan. He was a true pillar of the community, quietly helping out or donating to causes without the need for any recognition. He always put a smile on your face or had a friendly wave as he drove his side by side down Coursey Line. Lucan Biddulph has lost a great one.
Mike and Mark

We listened to Alan’s funeral service and you Mark and Michael and grandchildren gave a wonderful tribute to your Dad and Grandpa. Sunday at visitation John could have talked to you a long time with memories of times with trucking and times of fun and laughter that he has shared with Alan over the years. John had a lot of respect for your Dad.
May he rest in peace along with Liz.
Our deepest sympathy to the Scott family. May your fond memories give you comfort .
Mike, Mark and families,
Your dad will be greatly missed in the town of Lucan, always a big smile and wave in travels around town or at the mill.
Take time to honour his memory and keep his stories alive ♥️
Sherry Bodkin(Froats)
I surely hope that a younger family member might have been able to take Mr.Scott out of Exeter Villa for a short trip through Lucan….he would have been amazed at all the changes. Mr. & Mrs. Scott were great customers of ours when they returned from Fla. each yr. Mrs. Scott loved to shop and we had some great conversations besides. May they rest together once again and enjoy each others company like they always did. Doug & Karen Courtney
Sorry to hear about Alan. Thinking of you guys.
Michael, Mark & families

A sad day for sure.
My memories of Alan are of all the laughs.

He will be greatly missed.
Sorry to hear of Alan’s passing, he was a kind, generous, wise man and will be missed by all.
