Surrounded by his family at LHSC – University Hospital on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Evelyne (Grose) Rollings for 52 years. Much loved dad of Allen and Julie Rollings, Graham Rollings and Amy Trnavskis, Kevin Rollings, Carol and Jeremy Janke, Julie Rollings, and De-ann and Dean Perrey. Proud grandpa/papa of Emily, Erin, and Jacob; Callum, Joshua, and Vanessa; Luke; Teressa, Dylan; and Avery. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Blanche and Dave Collins of Sarnia, Clarke and Grace Rollings of Denfield, and Tom Rees and Donna McLinchey of Ailsa Craig. Harvey will be sadly missed by the Grose family, his many nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by his sister Shirley Rees. He will be remembered for his love of farming, horse racing, sports, and for serving his greater community by ensuring they got their mail.
Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday evening from 4-6 PM. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP for the visitation. Sad to hear of Harvey’s passing. Hard to believe. Harvey delivered our mail, out in the country, at one time. He asked my Mom once if she was sure I had a baby because there were never any diapers hanging on the clothes line. Dave coached the boys playing hockey and remembers Harvey being at the arena and always having a story. He had a 2 finger salute for a strike at the bowling alley.
