May 9, 1949 – November 29, 2020
“And into the field I go to lose my mind and find my soul”
It is with heavy and broken hearts after a brief illness, that Jamie passed away unexpectedly at the Kincardine Hospital on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at the age of 71. Jamie will be greatly missed by his loving wife of over 49 years Rebecca (Brand) Robb. He was a loving and proud father of Jennifer (Dwain) Marrinan, and Michael Robb and his partner Jen Hardy. Poppa loved all his boys, Aidan, Tristan, Evan, and Landon. Missed by his fur kids Gunner, Clementine, Nora, and Cashew. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joe Marshall, Gayle and Paul Bycraft, Diane Robb and Dick Campbell, Edward and Karen Robb, Carolyn and John Blewett, Bonnie Neely, Peter and Bonnie Brand, Alan and Shirley Brand, David and Terry Brand, Beth and Tom Marshall, Sallie McFarlane, and Cindie and Mike Solway. Jamie will be fondly remembered and missed by all his nieces, nephews and friends he made along the way. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Jean (Evans) Robb, Rebecca’s parents Howard and Vera (Casemore) Brand, and his sister Mary Marshall (2020).
Jamie was a proud 3rd generation farmer, working and living on the family farm in Lobo Township. He logged many hours in the barn and in the fields and took what spare time he had left to volunteer as a hockey coach, or playing “500” on the lawn with his kids in the summer and then to “the hills” to toboggan in the winter.
In the last 20 years Jamie and Beckie enjoyed life at the lake in Point Clark. Even though he didn’t have a farm of his own, he was warmly welcomed by the whole Lowry family, and was quickly put to work. Once a farmer, always a farmer. If you ever met Jamie, you instantly had a friend for life. No matter where he was, if someone he knew lived close by-they were guaranteed a visit.
Keeping with Jamie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Jamie’s life will be held on Friday, December 4th. Though the celebration is private, the family invites you to join with them for words of remembrance that will be held at 1 PM. Stream the service live or watch as you are able at another time by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex in memory of Jamie’s mother Jean Evans and his sister Mary Marshall would be appreciated by the family.
“It isn’t the farm that makes the farmer- It is the love, hard work and character”

Beckie. ….very sorry to hear the sad news about your husband . Nigel and I spent an enjoyable afternoon at your special spot in Florida. So Nigel & I met Jamie for the first time. Such a lovely man .
You will miss him terribly and I’m sure he will be missed in Point Clark.
My thoughts and prayers are with Jamie’s family and friends, who mourn the loss of one taken too soon. You can take the boy off the farm: but you can’t take the farm off the boy – seems to describe Jamie’s devotion to the land.
Heaven has gained a true agriculturalist.
Rest in peace – Jamie

The lyrics from this song – A Good Man, by Emerson drive remind me of Jamie’s life.
A GOOD MAN
When I’m gone, I wanna leave a legacy
Of love and laughs and honesty behind me
Behind me…
I wanna be the one
When all is said and done
Who lived a good life, loved a good wife, and always helped someone in trouble
On the day they lay me down
Want everyone to gather ‘round
And say he was a husband, father, brother, neighbour and a friend
He was a good man…
Yaaaaa…I wanna be a good man…a husband, a father, a brother, a neighbour, and a friend
I wanna be a good man!
And that he was…R.I.P. Jamie.
Robb family,
Sending condolences and prayers.
