Peacefully, at her late residence in Lucan on Saturday, October 18, 2014, with family by her side, in her 67th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald (Clancy) Riley (2000). Dear mother of Lori Armstrong and Tristan Hill, and Ann Marie Riley and Bob Taylor, all of Lucan. Dear grandmother of Dena and Caelan. Beloved daughter of Wesley Hickson of Lucan and the late Nadine (Armitage) Hickson (1999) and the late Betty Murphy (2014). Dear sister of Diane Rummell of Huron Park, Terry and Jean Hickson, Bob (Doc) Hickson, and Jim and Cheryl Hickson all of Lucan. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dear friend of Marcia Rydall and also remembered by the Riley families. Gayle was an employee of J & T Murphy Bus Lines for 37 years.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 11 AM with Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
Donations to Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada or the Lucan Biddulph Volunteer Fire Department would be appreciated by the family.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom, Grandma, Daughter, Sister and Aunt.
Gayle and Clancy are in many of my childhood memories. But my most memorable memory of Gayle was when one of my kids fell asleep on the bus and didn’t get off. Dale didn’t realize I only had 2 of 3 kids and did not see me running after the bus in a state of panic pushing the baby in the stroller. I ran all the way home and the first person I called was Gayle at the bus barn. She stayed with me on the phone and tried to calm me down while she radio Dale on the bus to see if he could check for Leah in the seats. I could hear the entire radio conversation, however Gayle made me stop climbing the walls in a state of panic when she re-assured me that Dale had her safe in the seat sleeping and would swing by and drop her off. I couldn’t thank her enough. Not too long ago we ran into her at the Dr office, and after I reminded her of who I was we shared a laugh and a wonderful conversation.
