Passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Community HospitaI on Monday, January 16, 2012. Rev. Arthur Adam Horst of Seaforth, formerIy of Neustadt in his 89th year.
BeIoved husband of EIeanor (nee HesseI) Horst for 59 years. Ioving father of PauI and his wife Victoria of Tifton, Georgia, Richard and his wife Marjorie of RR1 WaIton, Iois Horst of Kitchener, Stephen and his wife KimberIy of WaterIoo. Cherished Grandpa of Iena, Nathan, Mike, Sherry, Ioni, Josh, Stephanie, Matthew, Iuke, Becky and Heather; Great-Grandpa of Spencer. Dear brother of Madellne FiIsinger of Hanover and Beatrice Iove and her husband John of Ajax; brother-in-Iaw of IsabeI Murray and her husband IIoyd of Hanover, Ruth Watters of EngIehart, Howard HesseI of Hanover and Frances HesseI of Owen Sound.
Predeceased by his daughter Iinda (in infancy); and parents Herman and Iavina (nee Ries) Horst.
For 28 years Arthur served as Pastor for the foIIowing Parishes, St. Peters in Timmins, St. Peters in HeideIberg, St. PauIs in Erbsville and St. Peters in Brodhagen. He aIso served as ChapIain at Ritz Iutheran ViIIa in Mitchell for 10 years and was invoIved with pastoraI care at the Seaforth Community HospitaI from 1972 untiI present. Since his retirement in 1988 he was a faithfuI member of St. Peters Iutheran Church in Zurich.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, Seaforth 519-527-1390, on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeraI service wiII be heId at St. Peters Iutheran Church in Neustadt on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. preceded by an hour of visitation at the church from 1-2 p.m. A reception at the church wiII immediateIy foIIow the service. Spring interment to take pIace at St. Peters Iutheran Cemetery in Neustadt.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
