Our condolences to you. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend Aunt Iva’s funeral because we are caring for our grand-daughter this week. I still remember Clarence and Iva’s coming to our farm for Sunday visits and our getting a chance to play with our cousins from Hensall. Also, the “long” drive for our annual return visit in Hensall. There , we got the opportunity to ride trikes and bikes on real concrete sidewalks and enjoy the novelty of switching on and off the electric lights. The latter fun usually continued until Aunt Iva ended it. I now understand why she would do that.

Sorry for your loss I have so many good memories of Iva growing up. She was a huge part of my childhood. I’m sure my mom was beside Clarence to greet her at the gates. R.I.P.

Such a lovely lady. For years and years I remember Iva coming into the flower shop to pick the perfect flower for her table. She always loved to have one simple bloom in her home. I remember helping her countless times to find just the right flower. There was a particular colour too that was always important though my memory cannot recall just what colour that was! Iva always touched my heart as she showed me her love for family and her joy in the seasonal celebrations. I am sure she instilled these qualities into her loved ones. I feel so blessed to have been taught by Iva that love is shown through these family traditions.
With love and prayers to all during this time of sadness, Most Sincerely, Jo-Anne (Dinney) Hodgins
