At LHSC-Victoria Hospital, London on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, of Exeter and formerly of Hensall in his 73rd year. Survived by his wife Helen (Anderson) Reid. Dear father of Deborah and Bob Lawrence and Dan and Wendy Reid all of Hensall. Dear grandfather of Alicia and Jason Schweitzer of Goderich, Erik Lawrence of Calgary, Amber, Melissa and Katelyn Reid of Hensall and great-grandfather of Jamen and Abel Schweitzer of Goderich. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marg Talbot of Bayfield, Dianne Sims and Grant Hooper of Exeter, Doris Simpson of Kirkton and Jean and Peter Black of St. Marys. Dear friend of Ruth Kleiber of Exeter and their daughter Rebekah Kleiber of St. Catherines; Ruth’s daughters, Lisa and Blake Colburn of St. Catharines and Sara Theroux of Welland and grandchildren Christina and Hannah. Predeceased by his brothers-in-law Bob Talbot and Wes Sims; and Fleming Simpson and sister-in-law Marg Triebner.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Friday, May 31st from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, where the funeral service will be held at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating.
Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

I will never forget those days when we were little and our dads would work together in the backyard on cars….he will be missed. Such a great dad!!

I am so sorry to hear that Don passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Cherish the memories that you have and they will help you through the difficult days. I have great memories of Don from years ago in the arena in Hensall…..he always made me laugh!
