I am truly blessed to have had the pleasure to know Vern, and have our weekly visit at the Guardian Drug Store. I will be forever grateful for the day that he came to the store and asked me if I wanted to go for a ride in his green truck.

I was truly sadden to hear that Vern has passed. I last spoke with him in March at church, when we were home in Exeter visiting family. He was always faithful at greeting at church when we were home forvisits. I have fond memories dating back to my childhood, living on Carling St. and then on Huron St. of visits from Vern and Shirley at our parent’s home. Our thoughts and prayers.
