Passed away suddenly at LHSC- University Hospital on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 of Exeter, formerly of Lucan at the age of 41. Cherished husband of Leah Campbell. Proud father of Nicolas, Everley, Addyson, and Josephine. Beloved son of Robert and Susan (Foxton) Pipe. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jason and Susana Herd (Victoria, Chelsea, and Justin) of Brantford, and Brian Herd of Lucan. Loving son-in-law of Erica and Jason Miller, and brother-in-law of Amy and Mike, Kelsey and Cameron, Emma and Jonathon, Mylie, and Jakeb. Fondly remembered by his aunt Shirley Hossack and his late uncle Jack Hossack. Matt will be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many friends. Predeceased by his grandparents Jack and Ruth Pipe, Ted and Shirley Foxton.
Matt was known as a goofball to all who knew him. His smile was one that would light up any room he walked into. He was always quick to goof around with his friends and family and ensure they always had a smile on their face too. Matt was a dedicated sports fan, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his spare time, when he wasn’t spending time with his kids, he could be found playing video games, or enjoying a cold beer with his friends.
A celebration of Matt’s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Sunday afternoon, August 13th from 2 – 4 PM, with words of remembrance at 2:30 PM. In honour of Matt, please dress casually or wear your favourite sports jersey. Private family interment Exeter Cemetery.
