    To the Down family:
I tried to send a message earlier but I think I failed.
I apologize for not being able to attend the funeral. My medical problems have left me in a positon where I am unable to walk or even to stand in line.
I didn’t know Pat very well but she always seemed to have the time to smile and say hello. I recall where she had a party fo the Cross Country when Patti was a budding star.
All of the girls were smart and stood up or themselves. This was a relection of the good parenting they received.
May I pass on my best wishes to the entire family.

    Dear Bob & family,

We were sorry to learn of Pat’s passing. We both remember our earlier meeting times when you & Pat were facilitators offering the “Partners In Success” course for farming couples – like ourselves.

You both were wonderful role models to young farmers just starting out. (We are older now and retired from dairy farming.)

We think of you in prayers and may Pat’s memories be cherished forever and in the coming days.

    Bob, girls and families,
I am deeply saddened that Pat lost her valiant battle that she fought with her notable determination & strength. As she was involved in so many areas of community life outside of her family life, there will be a huge emptiness felt by many that share in the sorrow of your loss. I personally will greatly miss Pat, her energy & committment at the spring rummage sales and at church, of course. It’s been an honour & an inspiration to have worked with her on the organizing team for the past 10 years. May you find comfort knowing Pat is with God and found peace. We hope that many fond, precious memories and support of family & friends will give you comfort & ease the profound sadness in your hearts. Keeping you in our thoughts & prayers,
    Linda & Bill Russell

    Dear Bob and family,
It was with great sadness that I read about your beloved wife, mother, grandmother’s passing. It is so difficult to say farwell to one you love and who has added so much to your lives. I met Pat at Heartland Credit Union several weeks ago where she shared with me her fight with cancer. I was truly upset to know this fine lady had this to deal with. ‘What no one ever saw or heard, what no one ever thought could happen, is the very thing God prepared for those who love him.’ 1 Corinthians 2:9 I pray that all your wonderful memories over the years will substain you through your loss.
