January 5, 2024 By Haskett Funeral Homes 28 Condolences

PATERSON: Randy of Zurich, formerly of Exeter

Passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the age of 61. Randy will be dearly missed by his loving mother Myrna Holly, brother and sister, Raymond Paterson, and Jackie and Matt Postill. Nieces and nephews, James Paterson, Sean and Stephanie Paterson, and Shannon and Kevin Ford and 6 great-nieces and nephews. His feline companion Shelley. Also by his best friends Joe, Rob and Cliff who got together weekly at Randy’s place to play Risk for over 30 years. Fondly remembered by his friend, Deb and others. Predeceased by his brother Phillip Trotier (2004). Randy was proud to have served his country in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 7 years. He loved listening to music, playing games, watching movies, and cheering on his Toronto Maple Leafs. He was always thinking of others and his nieces and nephews meant the world to him. Myrna and Randy shared a special bond as mother and son that he cherished greatly. He also loved swimming at his sister’s and enjoying family BBQ’s. Randy loved being together with his family, exclaiming this year that “this was the best Christmas ever”.

Cremation has taken place. A public celebration of Randy’s life will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, Exeter on Monday, January 8th from 1-3 PM. A private family interment will take place at a later date in the Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to Heart & Stroke or CMHA would be appreciated by the family.
