November 29, 2023 By Haskett Funeral Homes 126 Condolences

O’NEIL: Brian Donald of Lucan Biddulph

Brian passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home on his farm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 of Lucan Biddulph at the age of 54. Best friend and loving husband of Amanda (MacDonald) O’Neil for over 30 years. Proud father of Jake and Danielle, and Joe and Taylor. Brian’s heart was stolen by his grandchildren; Andrea, Blakelynn, Warren, and Olivia. Dear son of Phyllis (Grose) and the late Don O’Neil. Fondly remembered by the O’Neil, Grose and Graham families. Predeceased by his parents-in-law Jim and Andrea MacDonald.

Brian was proud to be born, raised, and live on the same farm his whole life. Brian’s passions in life were farming, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and his family (in that order).

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. Registration is appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below to register.

. I just learned of Brian’s passing and I am so sorry I missed his visitation.
I loved the time spent in the hockey dressing room with Brian. His dry wit always drew a laugh. As always in this situation I regret we didn’t have more time to spend together. I say goodbye to a great teammate.
    Please accept our deepest condolences.

So sorry to hear this. I played hockey with Brian on the Lucan Liquored Leprechauns for several years. Brian played defense and had a cannon for a wrist shot, which I knew (and felt) well while crowding the front of the opposing team’s net! But his best skill on the team was being part of the banter in the dressing room before and after the game. Always a soft spoken, he had a great sense of humour that I’ll never forget. RIP, buddy!

    Brian
Even being related all our lives and living in the same community, I’ve enjoyed how well we have got to know each other and have been glad to have had the time working with you and the boys over the last four years.
I’m happy to have worked with you one last time on Sunday, on your home farm, and to have combined, what means so much to us in the farm community as clean corn this year!
I’ll miss the calls saying “the radar says there is a pink dot over Birr, is it raining there?
I apologize in advance, but I will be wearing a Ranger jersey.

    Cousin Dan

Our thoughts are with you all during this very difficult time. We have many memories of Brian-aka “Tank” from the old ball days….many, many laughs, stories and beers were shared back in those days. He was a guy of very little words but when he did share he was always quick with wit and humour. I enjoyed our brief chats when picking up eggs. We are shocked and saddened by this news. Thinking of you all
