Posted By Haskett Funeral Homes On September 18, 2024 @ 7:05 PM In Exeter,Obituary | 20 Comments
We regrettably share the news of Elizabeth “Betty” Nuttall’s sudden passing on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the age of 85.
Betty was adored by her family, especially her husband Ed, with whom she’d spent 35 wonderful years. Proud mother to Michael (Monique), Glenn (Connie), and Doug (Deceased) (Paula). Beloved grandmother to Nolan and Dalton; Dakota, Jordan (Trevor), Madison (Steven), and Darcy (Grace); Taylor (Alyssa) and Cameron; Jillian, and Austin. Predeceased by her beloved brother, David (Rita) and survived by her brother’s in-law Cliff Nuttall (Alison), Carman Stevenson, and her many nieces, nephews and friends who will remember her fondly.
She devoted much of her time to activities and volunteering around the Grand Bend area. She enjoyed golfing, line dancing, exercise classes and Tuesday morning coffees with friends. She was part of the Red Hats and Jingle Bells and especially pleased to showcase her house for the Grand Bend Christmas House Tour. She volunteered with the Horticultural Society and was proud to be a President of the Huron Country Playhouse Guild.
On a summer afternoon you would find her on the beach, with her feet in the sand, soaking up every last bit of sunshine. She would even follow the sun in the winter months, when she and Ed would take one of their many trips to Destin Florida.
Above all, Betty cherished her time spent with family and friends. To celebrate her legacy, we’re donning our best yellow outfits and gathering for an afternoon of living, loving, and laughing. Please join us for a celebration of life at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER, on Friday, September 20, from 1 – 4 PM. Words of remembrance begin at 2:30 PM.
We ask that donations be made in Betty’s name to the London Health Sciences Foundation.
