Passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Irmtraut Niebuhr for 55 wonderful years. Proud dad of Heiko and Anja Niebuhr, Petra and Ralph Haase, and Kathrin and Andre Gellrich. Adored Opa of Dennis. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Hella and Heinrich Harms. Fondly remembered by his sisters and brothers-in-law nieces and nephews.
Hermann was a proud lifelong farmer. His son took over the family farm and Hermann and Irmtraut came to Canada to fulfill Hermann’s dream. He could always be found outdoors as he loved nature. He spent many hours in the bush, hunting or with a saw collecting firewood.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Saturday, September 14th from 2 – 4 PM. Cremation will follow and Hermann will return home to Germany.
Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

So very sorry. I enjoyed Hermann visits at RBC. many years ago.
Always loved our times at Paul & Jans camp at Kendogan Lake with Hermann. He certainly loved the outdoors and had many great stories for after supper. Our condolences for your loss. He will be missed.

Many people long for a fathers love. I had it. I have it still. Many things i‘d wish I told my father, sure he too.
