Peacefully at home, with family by her side on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 of Exeter and formerly of Huron Park and Granton in her 88th year. Reunited with her husband of 59 years, Carl Nickles (2013). She is survived by her children Nancy Ogg (D. Ron 2023), Cecil and Linda Nickles, Carol and Kevin Windsor, Sherry Nickles, LauraLee Lightfoot and Randy Vincent, grandchildren Angela, Julie, Andrew; Ryan, Lindsay; Brent, Kendra, (D. Tyler 2020); Shannon; Justin, Nathan, Jessica; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Marie and Carl spent many years actively involved in local sports. She enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren and her Toronto Blue Jays. She was commonly found with a pen and napkin keeping score at their ball games. She leaves behind saddened hearts but wonderful memories.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held on Friday, September 15th. Haskett Funeral Home, LUCAN entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee.
