Our beautiful mama is at peace, and while our hearts are filled with an extraordinary sadness, we express a deep gratitude for the life of Kathleen Anne Neilands. Kathleen was born to the late Margaret and John Henderson in Hensall, where she later married her best friend and love of her life, Tom Neilands. Together they raised five children who mourn her loss with their partners, Amy and George Zoethout, Jeremy and Luanne Neilands, Kelly and Ryan Oesch, Regan Neilands and Mackenzie McClinchey, and Jill and Jeremy Muir. She was the beloved Ringo Gramma to Nathan, Finn, Jackson, Ella, Aaron, Blake, Chloe, Cassidy, Drew, Thomas, Harper, Hadley, Cooper, and Londyn. She will be deeply missed by her sisters and their husbands, Lois and Keith Lindsay, Jean and Bryan Underwood, and Sylvia and Richard Packham. Kathleen will also be missed by the extended Neilands clan, Sheila Regier, Rosemarie Hibbert, Norman and Tina Neilands, John and JoAnn Neilands, Gerry and Diane Neilands, Michael Neilands, Kathy and Terry Luther, and Suzette Neilands and Alf VanLuven. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and a wonderful community of friends. Kathleen is pre-deceased by her parents, her mother and father-in-law Alice and Paul Neilands, her brother Jack Henderson, and brother-in-law Ron Hibbert.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, ZURICH on Friday, September 16th from 6 – 8 PM. Registration for visitaiton is required and appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below to register
Kathleen’s Funeral Mass will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 22 Mary Street, Zurich on Saturday, September 17th at 11 AM with Father Vince Gulikers presiding. Interment St. Bonfiace Catholic Cemetery on the Bronson Line. (Registration not required).

I grew up at the corner of Nelson Street , partway between the Neilands house and the Henderson house. I remember vividly Tom and Kathy walking back and forth along the street during their courtship. That is a love stood the test of time.
