It is with great sadness that we announce Gary’s passing, after a very short battle with cancer, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at his home in RR 3 Ilderton, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Mabel (Gray) Needham. Dear father of Bradley and Sharon Needham of London, and Debbie and Jim Haskett of RR 3 Ilderton. Dear grandfather of Kayne Needham, Katie Needham and Brandon Oliver, Keith and Leanne Hall, Kevin Hall and Leanne Maguire, Kelly and Alex Grummett, and Ken and Carrie Hall. Also missed by 7 great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marilyn and Bill Bannister of Ailsa Craig, Ralph and Joan Needham of RR 3 Lucan; Mary Gray, Violet White, George and Velma Gray, Mary and Roy Carter, Jim and Joyce Gray, and Joyce and Bill Martland all of Woodstock, and Bernard and Ann Gray of Sweaburg. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Bill and John Gray, and sister-in-law Teresa Gray.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday evening 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17th at 11 AM. Private interment St. John’s Cemetery, Arva.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

You may be unaware, though maybe not as your food supply was a little sporadic for a couple of days, that those ear scratches and belly rubs that you had come to love will no longer be coming from Dad. I know you loved and trusted him enough to become close, I regret he has passed on to that greater realm that eventually awaits us all. I will try on those times i visit, as that is if you deign to let me, to continue the ear scratches and belly rubs (i understand you are a cat and permission must be granted first).
