NASH: Gary “Bush” of Seaforth

February 2, 2020 By Haskett Funeral Homes 74 Condolences

NASH: Gary “Bush” of Seaforth

Gary James Nash, passed away at Seaforth Long Term Care Home, on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Affectionately known to all of us as “Bush”, Gary was 65 years old. Bush lived life to the fullest enjoying good food, good drink and good company. His tough exterior was only a shell for a man with a heart of gold. His love of family, friends and animals will always be treasured.

Bush will be lovingly remembered by his siblings and siblings-in-law Marlene and Dave DeVries, John Mark Nash, Marie Teresa and Bert DeGraaf, Jim and Tracy Nash, Audrey and Paul Coyne, Bob and Eileen Nash and Tammy and Grant McKellar. Memories of a much loved uncle remain with his many nieces and nephews, and memories of days gone by will be cherished by his large circle of friends.  In faith, we trust that Gary’s spirit is reunited in eternal life with his parents Jim and Ginette (née Moyart) Nash, brother Danny Nash, grandparents Marie Theresa and Elie Bury and uncle Tom Nash.

A time to seek comfort in our faith and celebrate Gary’s life will take place at Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria Street, Seaforth on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Seaforth Legion, Branch 156, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth. Spring interment in St. James Catholic Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or Ronald McDonald House, Southwestern Ontario, would be appreciated by the family.

To All of Gary’s Family and close Friends.

Very Sad to hear the passing of Gary, My Grandparents farm the Lanes was next to his farm growing up and I have so many good memories of him in the summertime, the time he took me as a 15 year old into the Commercial Hotel!! and I had to ride in the back of the truck home to our farm, or him singing “little doggie in the window” to me while we hung out cutting wood or bailing hay.

I think of the Nash family as on old extension of our family, and I am very sad for you all, unfortunately I will be away while they have the service, but I assure you I am more sad I did not get to say good bye him.

    much Love Chris
