MORLEY: Eileen May (Williams) of London

March 25, 2024 By Haskett Funeral Homes 9 Condolences

MORLEY: Eileen May (Williams) of London

After a life well lived Eileen May (Williams) Morley passed away peacefully on her own terms in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman Morley (2010). Cherished sister of John Williams and his wife Vivian of Buckhorn, ON. She was the much-loved aunt of many nieces and nephews and a good friend to many people she met throughout her life. Predeceased by her parents George and Violet (Garner) Williams, and her brothers Bill and Pat.

Originally from the Toronto area, Eileen and Norm settled in London where they both worked for Globe Envelopes. Eileen stayed in touch with many of her coworkers even 30 years into her retirement. Eileen filled her life with many things that brought her joy. She was an avid gardener who had a backyard oasis at her home on Herbert Ave. She was skilled at many crafts including knitting, paper tole, painting and card making. She was a well skilled Scrabble and card player. Eileen loved to travel and reminisced often about the many trips she and Norm took together. Some of her favourite memories were made with her Red Hat friends of Dorchester. She loved to get all dolled up and head out to their many adventures and celebrations. Eileen’s pockets were always full of treats for every dog that came her way. She cared for and loved the many dogs that were lucky enough to have known her. Eileen will be deeply missed by everyone that loved her. Her kindness and giving spirit will live on in the memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at the Civic Garden Complex, 625 Springbank Drive, LONDON on Saturday, April 13th from 1- 3 PM with words of remembrance at 2 PM. Cremation with inurnment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Humane Society London & Middlesex or Life Spin would be appreciated.

I had the very good fortune of being a close neighbour of Eileen and Norm’s for many years. Our family will always remember the kindness and generosity of them as a couple. Most of the children (now adults with their own children) on Herbert Ave will have very fond memories of the special events Eileen used to plan for them. There were many dress up contests and bicycle parades with treats and prizes for the kids to enjoy. Eileen’s beautiful smile will live in my heart forever. May God bless her and keep her with him.

Will miss Aunt Eileen very much. We enjoyed our visits with her. She would zoom in and out of traffic driving us to all the thrift stores into her 80’s, until she handed me the keys. Enjoyed our trips with her and Uncle Norm. She fed us the biggest brownies that I ever saw! ❤️❤️🦮

Oh my dear Eileen, I never got a chance to say goodbye. I liked our talks about the beaches that you were on , as you knew that I’m a beach lover. I got to know you as I was your PSW for a few years. May you rest in the sweetest peace ever. Until we meet again it’ll be on the beach. My Condolences to your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Eileen was a great friend to me with the Red Hat Group she loved so much getting out and doing lots of fun things with us all and doing shopping trips and events all over the place. She will be sadly missed by all of us. I will miss her very much as we spent lots of time together in the last 15 years. Eileen lived a full life and always enjoyed every minute of it.
