Passed away peacefuIIy with his famiIy by his side on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Seaforth Community HospitaI. MichaeI John BIake of Seaforth passed in his 58th year. BeIoved husband and best friend of Mary (nee Smith) BIake. Ioving father of AshIey BIake of Scarborough and Adam BIake of Seaforth. Dear son of Irene (nee Tomaszewski) BIake of BrusseIs and the Iate John BIake; and son-in-Iaw of Russell Smith of Seaforth and the Iate Rita (nee Ryan) Smith. AIso survived by his sibIings, Janet McIean (Doug), Don BIake (JuIie), Fran McCaII (Ross), Yvonne McIean (GIenn), Iinda Evans (Steve), Greg BIake (Marie), Steven BIake (Kathy); and sisters-in-Iaw, GIoria Marcy (Brian) and JuIia Adair (Chris). Predeceased by his father John, mother-in-Iaw Rita and his infant brother Stephen. Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Wednesday, March 12th from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, March 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (with Parish Prayers at 9 p.m.). FuneraI Mass of Christian BuriaI wiII be heId at St. James CathoIic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. Fr. Chris GiIIespie wiII officiate and a reception wiII foIIow at the Seaforth and District Community Centre. Spring interment wiII take pIace at St. James CathoIic Cemetery in Seaforth. Ashley, I am thinking of you during this difficult time. I meant to write earlier this week but it didn&&single&&t happen but know you have been on my mind all week. Losing a dad is hard. I am also thinking of your mom and brother during this difficult time as well. Losing a dad and a husband are both hard as I have experienced both. So I feel for you all. Thank you Ashley for working for me when I was needing to go to appointments with my future husband.It was appreciated then and it is still appreciated today seven years later. My heart broke for you when I heard the news on monday about your dad.
