Peacefully at Huron Hospice, Clinton on Thursday May 19, 2022 of Seaforth. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Ward). Cherished father of the late Michael McLaughlin, Debbie Colbourne and her husband Dave of Seaforth, and Cindy Jones and her husband John of Barrie. Special grandpa of Samantha (Tyler), Michael, Hydne, Tynesha and great grandpa of Jace, Daxon, Savannah. Lovingly remembered by his older sister Theresa. Dear brother of Pat, Barb, Pauline, Donna, Mary Lou and Sharon. Missed by Paul Goldsworthy, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Karen St. Pierre, for always being there. Predeceased by parents Ursula (Healy) and Michael McLaughlin, brothers Bill, Ken and Ron, sister Marie, and niece Kathy.
Special thanks to Dr. Heather Percival who cared and looked after Joe for 30 years, Dr. Jamie Pereira Joe’s “new friend” and all the nurses and staff at the Seaforth Hospital and Huron Hospice. The care and compassion he received was exceptional.
Joe was a long-time employee of Looby Construction in Dublin for over 50 years. He was a very dedicated husband, father, and grandpa. Joe was very well known for driving his little red truck through town. He loved going for rides!
Joe’s Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria Street, Seaforth on Tuesday, May 24th at 2 PM with visitation from 12:30 to 1:30PM. Registration for visitation is required and appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below to register. Interment St. James Catholic Cemetery, Seaforth. Registration is not required to attend Mass.
