MCDONALD: Beverly of Seaforth

June 7, 2024 By Haskett Funeral Homes 9 Condolences

MCDONALD: Beverly of Seaforth

Passed away peacefully surrounded by love at Seaforth Long Term Care on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the age of 93. Aunt Bev was the cherished and much loved aunt of 9 nieces and nephews, 18 great niece and nephews and 21 great-great nieces and nephews. Bev has now joined her siblings, parents and other loved ones in Heaven.

Born on December 27, 1930 in Edmonton, Alberta, Bev was the only one in the family to leave the West and settle in Ontario, the last being Seaforth. In the community, Bev dedicated a lot of her time volunteering with different organizations and was always up for a good adventure. She lived a life full of love, happiness and joy for all those she encountered through her journey. Bev was a woman of God and all his creations and she was faithful to God until her final day when she would be reunited in Heaven.

Cremation has taken place. Bev will be returned home to the West where she will be united with her loved ones gone before her.

Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

I love you Aunty Bev. You were always the best to all of your nieces and nephews. So many good memories over the years. You brought so much joy and happiness to so many lives. The world was a much better place with you in it. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Aunty Bev you were such an inspiration to so many. Kind of ironic how you gave countless volunteer hours to Seaforth Manor and then spent your last decade and some living there. I am grateful to have had you in my life for 66 years……now you get to be reunited with all our loved ones. I have so many fond memories as a kid too…..when you worked for Hush Puppies and would bring us kids shoes…..just one of the many, many memories of you and your always giving…..till we meet again keep everyone up there happy

Bev, or BJ lived with us for a time. She owned a bleach business and mixed, bottled and sold it from our garage. She once demonstrated her roller skating skills in our kitchen (when mom and dad weren’t home). Bev was always a positive, happy and active person to be with.

She was the first grandchild of twenty-four for Ranald and Catherine (Hay) McDonald

So many fond memories of Bev. I would often share with new staff members of the Seaforth Manor how Bev had put countless hours in assisting the hairdresser at the Manor portering residents to and from there appointments for many years prior to be coming a resident with us. Very kind, caring and quick on her feet. Her gracious smile and sparkle in her eye always put a smile on my face. You will always be remembered ❤️

You were always Moms favorite sister 😉 As kids I remember always being so excited when you’d come to visit, to listen to your many adventures and the journeys you took. You were loved by so many and will forever be in the hearts of all who knew you ❤️
