Marion and I worked together at Exeter P.S.. With an enrolment of over 500 students at that time, it was a busy office and Marion ran it like clockwork and always with a smile. I am grateful that I had a good visit with her this summer during our Lunch Bunch get together. She will be missed.

We are so saddened to hear of Marion’s passing. She was such a delight to know. Her smile filled any room. In the days she worked at EPS I witnessed many times where she handled the questions of 4 people at once, while running off pages for an assignment and taking information on the phone. And all with a smile. She was amazing! She helped us out often at church with her baking and her hard work, contributing where needed. We were so blessed to have known her. Marion was my rock during our time together at Exeter Public School. No matter how chaotic, how emotional draining my job was, Marion was there to support and often solve the problem. During our retirement years we often had a giggle about our memories. Marion will always be in my thoughts as a role model of gracious living. My condolences to all.

I am sorry to learn of Marion’s passing. For my years at EPS , Marion was the go to person for anything you needed. She would confide in me and pass on information she thought I needed to know. Her desk would be piled high with work to be done , yet , she would stop what she was doing to help me even if it meant setting aside what she was doing. Marion was a wonderful secretary and a wonderful friend. Sometimes I would go into the office just to chat with her , always a warm and friendly conversation. My condolences to the family , a wonderful person , a life well lived .

Our sincere sympathy to the McCurdy family. We got to know Marion when she played shuffleboard for a short time and then when they both met at the Adult Day Program in Dashwood.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Marion as it was her and Don that let me set up my Hairdressing shop in the other half of Don;s barbershop in Hensall and I spent many years of hairdressing Hensall because of them.

To Marion’s family.
It is not often that someone can leave such fond memories to so many people. Marion was one of a kind. She could multi-task like the best of them…handling phone calls, the idiosyncrasies of staff, and, best of all, when it was or was not a good time to talk to the boss.
I was fortunate enough to work with Marion at both Usborne Central, and Exeter Public. We shared good and not so good times together.
We have lost one of the good ones. She will be missed.

Marion was a dear friend and I will miss her very much. We retired together from EPS in June 2000.
She was a dedicated groupie to our uke groups and a founding member of the Sole Sisters Walking Group who still enjoyed birthday lunches with friends. It won’t be the same without Marion and we will treasure our memories.
