At South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 of Hensall, after a courageous, 3-year battle with cancer, in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Peggy (Hay) Mathonia for 30 years. Dear father of Rob and Lindsay Mathonia of Hensall, Mandy and Chris Arnold of Hensall, Stacey Mathonia and her fiancé Matt Kerslake of Hensall, Dustin Mathonia and Brittany Rose of Egmondville, Brooke Mathonia and Evan Hardie of Hensall. Dear grandfather of Caiden and Cohen. Beloved son of George Mathonia of Zurich and the late Maria (Hecht) Mathonia (2016), and son-in-law of Gord and Jeanne Hay of Exeter. Dear brother of Ray and Karen Mathonia, Marianne and Dan Mclver, Ken Mathonia, Bernie and Connie Mathonia, Linda and Bill Boyington, Peter and Carolyn Mathonia, and Carmen and Brendan Fernandes. Ralph will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and the Hay families. Ralph proudly operated Huron Auto Body for 29 years.
A gathering will be held at the Hensall Community Centre, 157 Oxford Street West, Hensall on Thursday, February 15th from 5-8 PM. Cremation with interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Zurich.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation – Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family. Haskett Funeral Home, Zurich entrusted with arrangements.
