Mary Helen Lewis (Powell)

Peacefully with family by her side, at her late residence in Granton on Sunday July 22, 2012 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of William (Bill) Powell. Dear mother of Norman Spears of Komoka, Liz Morden of Windsor, Cindy Hodgins of St. Thomas, and Robert and Paula Lewis, Dave and Pat Lewis, Cheryl and Sean Johnson, and Mike and Denise Lewis all of London. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bob and Dorothy Besse of Burlington and Joan Fry of London. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers David, Donald and Douglas, and grandsons Michael and D.J.

Friends may all at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 25th at 11AM with The Rev’d Andreas Thiel officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.

Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Our deepest condolences to the Lewis / Johnson families at this time.. As well as all that new and loved Helen our prayers are with you all she was an amazing person who touched everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her she treated everyone like they were her own family she had many grand and great grandchildren but she was “grandma” to everyone no matter if they were relatives or not .. she warmed up a room with her smile and great since of humor those will be things that will never be forgotten… Our thoughts prayers and love are with you all at this time and were here if you need anything just holler
