It is with great sadness to read of Mary’s passing. I knew her in Toronto at City Park Co-op where she ruled with Peter Gernon from the Tenth Floor at 51 Alexander Street. I used to call them Lord Gernon and Lady Easton. On one occasion the two were walking around the property and on passing near my second floor apartment I yelled out “Hi grandpa, hi grandma”. I promptly had fists shaking at me and warnings of terrible doom. I miss them both! The place was never the same when Mary left. We had both served on committees that made the Co-op so special. My condolences to her family. She will never be forgotten.

I now live in Calgary and all the Co-op is a sweet memory.

Dear Don, Jean, Cathy, Doug, Mary and families,

As you know we adopted Mary as our Aunt many years ago. We have so many fond memories of our times with her. Cathy and I hanging out with her in Toronto, road trips, cafe meets and not to mention JoAnn’s and Aunt Mary’s excellent adventure to Tampa to visit with Cathy.

She was a wonderful story teller and a woman who loved her family well. She’ll always own a portion of our hearts and will be remembered with love and affection.

In sorrow and sympathy, JoAnn and Paul

Dear Don & Jean & family:
Mary was always a fun part of our family gatherings. We appreciated her humour, laughter and sometimes “needling” to get her point across.
