Dear Family
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
My late husband Lorne had fond memories of visits to Grandma Martene’s and his connection to Gerald at those times. Family roots he cared deeply about. Several times as the years passed we met Gerald and June enjoying a day out on the annual ‘Shunpiker’ tour. The conversations we shared were always a highlight as we learned of apples and bees and family. I recall these conversations with a smile.
Sincere Sympathy

Pete and all the family – my sincere sympathy. Brings back memories of when I babysat Judy across the street and of course Gerald’s delicious apples and Brucefield treats.
A long, good life, and a large family to remember him with fondness. All good things.
My deepest sympathies to Kari and family in the passing of Gerald. His fortitude and enthusiasm I can still hear through his voice, and candy apples still I can almost taste from that sweet orchard.
My wife, Ruth’s two daughters, Monica & Vicki both worked for Mr. Martene at the Farmers Dell in Brucefield when they were both teenagers. They both enjoyed their experiences working for him, and have many fond memories of him. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Martene.
