As I say goodbye to a lovely person and friend, I remember all the good times we have shared. A wonderful and adverturesome trip to Europe, many dinners, lunches and walks in the park. What a wonderful friend she was. On one her trips to Atlanta, Marge and I went out on the town. She told everyone that I was the only person who would host her at high tea at the Ritz and then take her to dinner at Atlanta’s noted drive-in hot dog establishment for dinner. What can I say – – we had a great life. My love to all her friends and family and especially to Hazel and Tina. Be at peace, my friend.

Marge will surely be missed by Ann and I. We had the pleasure of having her in our home for Christmas brunch for many years. What a delightful lady. John & Ann

This has literally been the worst week of my life. “Aunt Marge” was more like my second mother than she was an aunt. She has literally been in my life since the day that I was born and has done so much for me and my family that there just isn’t enough space to write it all down in this forum.

The one thing that I’m very grateful for is that I literally got to speak to her every day. It was our morning routine to do just that. As timing may indicate, I may have been the last person to actually talk to her. I have very mixed emotions about that, but I can tell you that we always ended with “I love you”.

Through the years, I’ve always looked up to Marge. I remember having written a paper in high school entitled, “My Hero”. I made the decision that she was my hero. It was her caring nature, her ability to always cheer me up, her uncanny ability to make everybody love her, and her patience. There has never been a stranger that didn’t come to love her also. I am by no means the easiest person to get along with, but she loved me for who I am and she really has made me a better person by me trying to infuse more of her character into my every day life.

Marge, I love you and there hasn’t been an hour of my day that I haven’t thought of you. You will be missed, but I’m just being selfish for wanting you here. You are in a much better place now, I’m quite positive.

    XOXO – Mike

Marjorie’s energy and positive outlook on life were an inspiration to all who met her. Our conversations and critiques about figure skating, which I miss already, and other sports, especially during the Olympics, were always enjoyable. She was extremely knowledgeable about so many sports (Canadian football being her favourite) and her memory for names, dates and statistics was phenomenal. Marjorie was a dear friend to so many people and will be missed and remembered by them as such.
