I learned of Harry’s passing this evening at the Lightning game. We sat courtside next to him and his wife last year and spent the season treating each other to Alexander Keith’s (for him) and Ceasars (for me). He shared so many good stories and even let me try on one of his Championship rings. I am so very sad and sorry to hear the such recent news and he will be so missed by me and my family this season. Love to his entire family.

Dear Raisa, Bill, Paulette, Debbie, Don, Scott, David and the rest of the Loyens family,

We are deeply saddened to hear of Harry’s passing. He was not just a dear friend and mentor to our father, John, but also a cherished part of our lives. My memories of Harry begin in childhood when he was cheerfully waiving at my father and I from a new home under construction in the Teatherwood subdivision, a cherished trip to Temagami, and others, always filled with warmth and joy.

Harry was a trusted business mentor to both my parents and more recently to my brothers and I, and was always willing to provide insight and advice to help guide us along the way. We will be forever grateful for everything Harry did for us.

Please know that you are in our thoughts during this difficult time. Harry’s legacy of kindness and mentorship will live on in all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.

Very sorry to hear about Harry. I’m know you will all miss him very much.
The first day that I met Harry and his siblings was the first day that they came to St. Pat’s and is as clear as a bell to me. Soon there were the hip checks into the coat racks if you didn’t pay attention and the contagious laugh.
I also remember trying to keep up with him skating on Sunday afternoons. Pretty silly of me but we had fun!
I have thought of the Loyen’s family many times thru the years and always with a smile .
