With great sadness, the family announces Bill’s unexpected passing at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 of London, at the age of 60. Proud father and father-in-law of Andrew Lovie and Sarah Young. Deeply missed by his partner of over 35 years, Kathy (Holland) Lovie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Laurie and Ted Stanlake, Paul Lovie, and Diane Lovie. Fondly remembered by the Holland family, many nieces and nephews, their four legged companion Niche and good friends Ivan and Brenda Hern. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Olive (Shortt) Lovie, brothers, Gary, Ed, and David and sister-in-law Sally.
Bill was always “under a car”. Whether he was fixing up a car to race around the track at Delaware Speedway, being the family “handyman/mechanic” tending to his loved ones vehicles, or spending time in his home building model cards, he loved all things cars. He loved hockey, spending many years at the rink coaching kids, showing them his love of the game.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Friday afternoon from 2 – 4 PM. Registration is required and appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below to register. Cremation to follow with a private family interment at Grand Bend Cemetery at a later date.
