He is predeceased by his parents Lyle Ray Little and Beatrice Viola Makey, his brother Leonard, brothers-in law Tom Fox, Jim Koning and Larry Atkinson, and sisters-in-law Sandra Little and Janet Little, niece Patty Atkinson and grandson Nathaniel Atkins.  He is survived by his siblings Doriene, Arthur and wife Evelyn, Murray and wife Mary Lou, sister-in-law Carole, Barry, Penny, Patricia and husband Peter, Dan and wife Barbara, Ron and wife Lorrie, and Terry.

Duncan Lyle Little was born January 22, 1937. Lyle was the head of the math department at South Huron High School for most of his more than 30 year career.  In his spare time he was an esteemed player, coach and umpire to many fastball leagues in the area. In his retirement he helped establish the Exeter Food Bank which has served the community for nearly 30 years now. Known for his integrity and loyalty, he will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Now he is enjoying his eternal reward, having loved his Heavenly Father and Saviour Jesus Christ for the past 50 years.

Visitation will be held at the Exeter Pentecostal Tabernacle, 70670 London Road, EXETER on Saturday, May 25th from 1 – 2 PM, where Lyle’s memorial service will be held at 2 PM. Cremation has taken place.

    Mr. Little was a kind man and a steady man, slow to anger. I had him as a teacher for many math classes.

    How beautiful to witness such a family in this slideshow. I am certain he was a blessing to all his offspring.

    Hugs to all the family and especially Esther who was in my class.

    With love,
    Sarah McClure

    Lyle was a kind compassionate man , a wonderful math teacher. Unfortunately I was one of the worst math students he could have had. I enjoyed talking to Lyle over the years and he always remembered me. My regards to the family. I will always remember my home room and math teacher.

    To Lyle’s family;
    Please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss. I knew Lyle over 3 summers when we worked together in the outdoor building of Canadian Canners during the harvesting of peas and sweet corn. He was a very quiet gentleman, never having a lot to say but an eager listener. He was attentive to his tasks . He has left his family a very loving, supportive legacy. God Bless.
