Thinking of you as you say goodbye to your beloved father and father-in-law. I remember the amazing vegetable garden he used to have when he and Aunt Kay still lived in their house in Kitchener…he introduced me to curly endive, which was so delicious compared to the bitter stuff that my mother grew. Uncle Norm was indeed a true gentleman!

The passing on another era in our lives. As the obituary said “A true gentleman”. Whenever Bruce visited Norm, Norm always said thank you for visiting and always walked him out. If he was confused as to who Bruce was, once he heard farming and Wellesley, he got the lay of the land real quick. It was a pleasure to have known Norm.

My condolences to the Lichty family.
The first time I met Norman was when I picked him up in Grand Bend and took him to Bluewater Resthome to visit his wife. I was a Easy Ride volunteer driver.
After he moved to the Villa, my mother, Isabelle Becker, who was a resident there also, had conversations with him different times.
I also remember telling Norman that I found a road near Wellesley that is named Lichty Road.

Praying God’s comfort and peace to all Norman’s family and friends
