It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Betty Lenore (Dobbs) Leitch on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 of Lucan at the age of 88. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Valerie J. Fandrick (Donald Laferte) of Alberta, and Lorie I. Dekok (Harvey Dekok) of Listowel. Predeceased by a special little daughter Kimberly Ann Marie Leitch (September 7, 1960 – August 9, 1970). Proud grandmother of Philip (Brandi) Fandrick, Crystal Fandrick (Kevin Pittman); Andrew Dekok (Sarah Meulendyk), and Blake Dekok and great-grandmother of Triton, Lincoln Fandrick; Owen, and Kinsley Pittman. Dear sister-in-law of Marjorie Leitch, Alice Hales, and Joan Leitch. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence Edward (James) Leitch (1999), her cherished companion John R. Hodgins (2016), her parents Walter and Lillie (Hodgins) Dobbs, her sister Margaret Jean Harrison and her husband LaVern Harrison, son-in-law Archie Fandrick, parents-in-law Wilfred and Irene Leitch, brothers and sisters-in-law; Harold and Jean Leitch, Gerry and Theresa Leitch, Marie and Cecil Lewis, Jack Leitch, George Leitch, Don and Dorothy Leitch, Lyle Leitch, Carl Leitch, and George Hales.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Saturday, February 25th from 11 – 12:30, where the funeral service will be held at 1 PM with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.

My sincerest condolences to you all. Please know you are all in my thoughts at this difficult time. You mother was such a beautiful person-always friendly and smiling. I have a few memories of her when Andrew was a baby and I was sitting for you guys at their house on hwy 4. Even after selling that house-to this day, it’s still Betty Leitch’s house when I drive by or have to landmark to someone I know. Losing someone you love is difficult, think of all the memories you have of your Mom…. I am sure she found comfort being with Jim once again.

I got to know Betty quite well when she was with my Uncle John. He was a lucky man to have had her support in his final years. She was a spirited and strong woman who I enjoyed spending time with.
