It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our special young man, the son of Mark Sr. and Sharon Laye. A loving brother, and special uncle. Surrounded by family, and support workers, Zakery passed suddenly at home in Crediton on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the age of 27. Zakery was a source of unconditional love and care within the circle of his family, support workers, and friends. His radiant smirks and contagious belly laughs were a ray of sunshine to anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Zakery will be always lovingly remembered by his brothers Mark Jr. and Becky Laye of Lucan, and Corey and Haley Laye of Ailsa Craig. Special uncle of Kurtis, Avery, Kael, Corbyn, and special angel Caisen. Cherished grandson of Madeline Desjardine of Zurich. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families. Predeceased by his grandparents Jim and Betty Laye, and Norris Desjardine, and uncle Terry Laye.
A celebration of life will be held at the Crediton Community Centre, 38 Victoria Avenue, Crediton, on Saturday, June 8th from 1- 4 PM. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220).
For those who wish, donations to Ronald McDonald House, Community Living of South Huron, or Easter Seals would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
